Reservation Barrier

Walking in early
On a late summer day
Fumbling with my hands
Wondering the next play
Now as we sit here
Rambling on about nothing
Nothings held back from those so sweet
Until another barrier broken down
Between us and these feelings

It there talking looking at each other
Hard to imagine what comes next
Both torn down about what to do
Thinking something great ahead
Held back by our own reservations

Leaving each other
Heading off in separate directions
Looking for different places
Out of sight is far from
Being out of mind
Dwelling on each other
Is this white wonder
Between how we are and how great
We could truly be

Stuck there driving thinking about each other
Dreaming of possibilities coming next
Endless dreams held back from being torn down
What to do but hope for whats ahead
Pushing aside our own reservations

Hours gone by
Each off in different worlds
Apart yet playing on words
Sent between each other

Sitting here its so hard
To deny theres one barrier weakened
By time close to breaking
To tear it down is what needs done next
In order to live the greatness on the other side
And leaving the barrier of reservations behind
